This compression element is
designed to channel forces applied form the top ring to three points on the ground. The distribution of forces
is characterised by the form where ‘legs’ exist to receive load from the top and transfer the forces to ‘feet’ where the pressure is concentrated. The wide foot-base allows this compression element to stabilise forces that are not directed perpendicularly.
