A screen allows us to manipulate what space
we have.
It allows us to create rooms where there were none and transform
areas for different purposes.
Around me, factories
are being converted into warehouse style apartments. It seems
that this is a significant new Australian ideal. Among other
things, open-plan living demands that spaces be structured
more carefully than before. Where many different activities
occupy the same environment, previously designated spaces
spill
into each other and encroach upon others. Sometimes it is
necessary to create boundaries.

Shell Three
This screen allows you to change its basic shape. It can wrap
around a workstation, weave a curvilinear wall or create a
barrier. The form created in the Tyvek operates visually and
structurally. It creates a balance of pressure on the frame
allowing it to flex into its form, seeming more substantial
than the material would first suggest.
